Busy dwarves, gigantic giants, the bed of the devil - the Belgian Ardennes are full of fabulous creatures and legendary places. Wonderful paths through colourful forests, wildly romantic meandering rivers and mystical rock formations take you deep into nature and let your imagination run wild. On twelve of the most beautiful round walks we have put together for you here, you will discover medieval castles, idyllic river valleys and remote towns in the heart of the Ardennes.
In the north you can look forward to the seemingly endless prairie landscapes and moorlands of the High Fens, which you will cross on long wooden footbridges. Discover nearby rushing torrents such as the glorious sounding Ninglinspo and monoliths entwined with numerous legends. To the south, follow the gentle meanders of the Semois, which shines in the most beautiful shades of blue and green and has created romantic valleys through their course. Fabulous forests, clattering steam trains and limestone labyrinths await you in the west of the Belgian Ardennes.
If you're interested in history, you'll get your money's worth with the partially perfectly preserved castles and majestic palaces. In the world-famous book village Redu you can browse in over 20 antiquarian bookshops to your heart's content.
