What would komoot be without all the athletes who share their experiences every day, including great photos and helpful tips so you can complete the same adventure? Every individual user turns a navigation app into a lively community and a boring bike ride into a tailor-made, unforgettable experience. That's why we reward our most hard-working users and appoint them as Pioneer. In cooperation with different tourism regions komoot organizes unforgettable "Pioneer Trips", on which our pioneers get to know each other and have a great time together. Pioneers Conor, Hamish and Dan were invited by Saalfelden Leogang to discover one of the most contrasting Alpine regions by mountain bike there.
Saalfelden Leogang has enough exhilarating rides to make a bike holiday last several weeks. But, you can also get to know the region very well on a weekend, especially if you choose the three trails in this Collection. From here, the Asitzbahn and the Steinbergbahn are, so to speak, your ticket to the region's mountains. An 8 or 10-person lift will take you up the mountain and directly to the start of the trails. At the top, you can enjoy the breathtaking view for a moment – and then you're ready to go!
The whole region is well prepared for bikers. Leogang, Saalbach and Hinterglemm are well-known holiday destinations among mountain bikers and the areas have accommodation options to suit every taste and budget. It is also extremely uncomplicated to get there by car or train: Leogang has its own train station with good connection across Germany, from Munich for example. And, if you ever need a day off, the region has plenty of activities that don't involve biking. Whether you like to visit music festivals, theaters or exhibitions – there's plenty to see and do for young and old.
