The tour starts very gently in Ruhpolding. Once warm, the first mountain is coming and some are waiting for you! Partly it is powerful steep, I had with my loaded Gravelbike and 1x11 drive partially no chance and had to push. The ground is a nice mix of gravel and asphalt. At about 24.8 km there was a small planning error: The trail ended in front of a fence, so I had to reverse (see dangling in the tracking). A short time later I landed again on the original track. Here a partly violent singletrack awaited me, which was really too much of a good thing with the Gravelbike. Even with the mountain bike, good driving skills are needed here. Apart from that, the tour does not make any special demands on the driving technique.By the way, that was my first overnight trip on a DAV mountain hut. I have on my webpage to times a few experiences and tips collected: lifecyclemag.de/berghuetten-tipps.

Work before pleasure. At the beginning, it is very steep and uphill for quite a long time. The highlight is the Wallberg, from where you usually have a great view. It may be full at weekends and I did not have the impression that cyclists are among the most beloved phenomena here. Would I drive the tour again, I would omit the Wallberg and thus choose another down to Tegernsee. On the other hand, I really enjoyed the drive along the Mangfall. By the way, there are various options: If you are in the mood for more trails, you will also find something here.
