If you go without an "E", it's fine if you push in between times. With E-MTB it goes much more relaxed and you do not need to worry about your battery at all: He easily puts away about ten kilometers of driveway.Just before you reach the summit you pass the Feilalm. "Small but powerful," they say. Okay, for a bike tour fits "short but good" probably better. In any case, but it can be stated that it is less than six kilometers of this short tour fustdick behind the ears. For the first three kilometers, you'll master 480 altitude meters. Which also makes it clear who this tour appeals to: Bikers who want to exhaust themselves in the shortest possible time. Or e-bikers who just smile tiredly over the steep climb and instead enjoy the highlight of the tour: the brilliant view from the 1,669-meter-high Plumssattel and the quaint Plumsjoch hut with delicious Tyrolean cuisine. To start the tour, you come by car, which you can park in the parking lot at the Gernalm. Alternatively, you can of course also start directly from the shore of the Achensee. A small road called Pertisau leads up to the pasture and gives you another 240 extra meters in altitude. However you do it, it's worth it! This is already clear during the climb, because the higher you come, the more impressive is the view of the mountains and down to the Achensee. And after you have arrived in the Plumsjochhütte, you can be satisfied and satisfied that the way back only leads downhill.

You drive through the middle of the mountains of the Karwendel, mastering a lot of altitude on some difficult terrain. Therefore, you should plan for the approximately 57 kilometers quiet a whole day. Also keep in mind that you can not just break off the round: bring enough provisions and water and check the weather forecast before departure so you will not be surprised by a thunderstorm. If you ever get a change of weather, you should be prepared with rainwear and a warm layer for it. With some preparation, this tour will be a truly unforgettable experience in the mountains!
Although this beautiful round is only about 17 kilometers long, it still has something in it. Because it leads you up to over 1,600 meters to the idyllic Weißenbachalm. You usually drive over loose paths and demanding single trails. If you are looking for a small but challenging mountain adventure, then this tour is just right. You start at the idyllic Achensee and follow the paved bike path on the lakeshore. After about five kilometers you are warm and the mountain adventure can begin. The route now bends to the right and leads you quickly into the idyllic Weißenbachtal. If you like, you can now relax and take a rest. Alternatively, wait a little later with the Bärenbadalm the next worthwhile refreshments on you. And of course nothing speaks against two breaks in a row - you are in no hurry, because you have reached the highest point of the round long ago. From now on, it's just downhill. The descent on the tunnel path is really awesome. The rocky path is bounded on one side by steep rocks, on the other side it goes down deep. Again and again you drive through small tunnels - a real adventure! Just be vigilant, because even hikers enjoy this path. If all is considered, the trail is all the more fun.Back at the lake, you can look for a cozy place on the shore and relax in front of a fine postcard backdrop. If the stomach growls and you feel like something special, the kitchen of the Travel Charme Hotel Fürstenhaus invites you to a culinary reward of the extra class.Tip:
To master the long climb on your own, you need tight calves. It's easier on the e-bike, which you can borrow at the Travel Charme Hotel.
Wonderful mountains, cozy mountain pastures and also a boat trip - this tour really offers everything for a pleasurable mountain bike ride around the "Unnütze", a mountain massif northeast of the Achensee. And best of all: Even if the round requires some stamina, it is still suitable for beginners. Most of the time, you will be riding on simple gravel roads without technical challenges, and at the end of the only steep ascent you can relax and rest on the Köglalm. Before you pedal yourself, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery in peace and from a very special perspective during the boat trip across the Achensee. At the jetty Scholastika then starts the tour. First gently, later steeper, you follow a wide gravel path up to the Köglalm. It's perfectly okay if it gets too steep for you. Just get off and push your bike. This is part of the mountains and offers you the opportunity to enjoy in peace the beautiful view that is present everywhere.Freshly strengthened, the more relaxed part of the tour awaits you. At first steeper, later only slightly downhill, you circle around the Unnütze. You drive past Steinberg am Rofan - maybe you feel like making a little detour to find out if he rightly calls himself "the most beautiful end of the world"? In the further course you have a clear view of the Guffert, whose distinctive peak towers 2,194 meters high into the sky. About the gravel Steinbergweg now you drive back towards Achensee. A short break before arrival at the starting point of the tour is worth a break in Achenkirch, the "Tyrolean fjord" at the northern tip of the lake.Tip:
This round is suitable for every skill level. Anyone who is used to driving long and enduring can easily extend it by almost 30 kilometers with the help of the Achensee cycle path. If, on the other hand, the initial climb is too much for you, you can simply borrow an e-MTB with a battery that easily puts away the 29-kilometer tour and turns the tour into a true pleasure ride.
