In May 2019, the King of the Bavarian Forest, BIKE editor Stefan Loibl will be riding his mountain bike across Germany from the border triangle near Aachen to Bodenmais on the Great Arber. In search of the best single trails, his ride will consist of two sections of the “Deutschland Trail” (Germany Trail) project. You can experience his journey as he rides – follow his trip via live tracking and social media, give him route tips, or join him for part of the ride if he passes nearby.
The second section of the route begins in Bad Orb in the Spessart. Setting off on 11 July 2019, Stefan will wind his way over the Würzburg before passing through the Steigerwald and cycling from Hassberge to Bamberg. Next, he will pass Franconian Switzerland and head to Bayreuth and the Fichtelgebirge peaks. He will then pedal through the stone forest to Waldsassen before spending three days along the Czech-German border by the Upper Palatine and heading into the Bavarian forest. His interactive MTB route will finally lead over the large Arber before ending in Bodenmais. However, his epic route is by no means fixed, it’s just a rough idea. Support Stefan on his journey – he can only find the most beautiful trails with the help of local bikers.

Hello Volker,
pity, wish you a speedy recovery. But I am in good hands with Klaus. Shortly before Frammersbach someone will come again.
Greetings Stefan
