This great mountain bike tour starts in Hinterstoder. From here you can either take the Hössbahn to the middle station or pedal on your own and tackle the ten-kilometer climb with your own strength. At the middle station, you can first refill your energy reserves and stop in one of the huts. Then it's off to the long, varied descent that keeps you on your toes with a few short ascents. The entry into the trail is quite steep and in some places signs indicate that you better off the bike here. At these places you can then take a short time and enjoy the beautiful view. Back on the bike, you work your way down an old, partly rock-cut alpine path into the Rottal. Pretty bumpy it continues downhill past the lower Edtbauernalm. On forest roads you roll now more fluid downhill, but come up with short ascents but every now and then in the sweat. Mostly through cool forests, past ponds and guesthouses, you get back to Hinterstoder to the starting point.
