Are you looking for relaxed hikes around the Attersee? Then this Collection is just right for you! We have put together ten varied tours that are perfect for a trip with the whole family. Discover different perspectives of the lake in the Upper Austrian Salzkammergut, unwind on the beach after a day's hiking and learn a lot about the region and its history on the themed trails. With every mile, you can forget the stresses of everyday life behind you and enjoy the beautiful landscape.

Lake Attersee is the largest lake in Austria that lies entirely within the national borders. Thanks to its excellent water quality, many fish thrive in its waters. The lake is also popular with divers, sailors, cyclists and, of course, hikers. The high peaks of the Höllengebirge tower in the southeast, whilst the Schafsberg sits in the southwest, with dense woodland in between. The green mountains and rugged rocks provide a magnificent contrast to the turquoise blue lake.

Many of the walks follow thematic trails, so you can learn more about the beautiful region on the way. Unique views, cozy restaurants and stunning landscapes make hiking here a pleasure. And, after a lovely hike, you will still have enough time to get comfortable on the shores of the lake, take a dip in the cool water, boat around the lake and just relax. If you plan a longer stay, you will find several villages around the lake with varied accommodation – from chic hotels to campsites.

Not for long, then you can take a break in the Moosalm and strengthen yourself with regional delicacies. Along the Moosbach you walk on even paths until you reach the idyllic Schwarzensee. If you still feel like moving, you can walk around the lake (3.9 kilometers) and stop in the "Lore" inn. Or you just sit down on the shore and enjoy the beautiful landscape around the mountain lake. It goes back the same way.
