St. Johann in Tirol is a great starting point for your hikes. From here, you can reach the starting points by car or by bus. With the visitor card you can even use the buses for free. 25 meters, the water falls next to you in the depth, you feel the fine mist on the skin and listen to the roar of the water. This eleven-kilometer hike takes you to the Eifersbach waterfall. A refreshing tour for hot late summer days.Starting point of the hike is in St. Johann in Tirol. You leave the village and walk on a fairly flat surface over several streams and through some hamlets until you reach the Eifersbach. You follow the stream and hike uphill from here. The trail runs through the forest, so the trees give you cool shade. After about five kilometers you have reached the Eifersbacher waterfall. On a jetty you can get close to the refreshing and impressive nature experience.A little way uphill to the beautifully landscaped lake. Wellness loungers and a Jausentisch invite you to linger. The perfect place for a long break with a great view.With fresh energy we continue on the Dechantalm and the Lackneralm up the mountain. If you have reached these, the 460 vertical meters are done and you wandered relaxed down into the valley while enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery around you.
A rushing torrent and impressive rock formations await you in the Grießbachklamm, probably one of the most beautiful hiking destinations for the whole family in the Kitzbühel Alps. On boardwalks and over suspension bridges, the hiking experience in the gorge is a lot of fun.Let's start the six-kilometer round at the Wanderparkplatz in Erpfendorf. After a kilometer, the path leads you into the cool gorge. The varied hiking trail winds its way up the mountain with a relaxed slope through the valley. Below and next to you rushes the Grießbach, around you you see rugged rock formations and lush forests. A wild and romantic landscape that is simply gorgeous. Soon you will hear the roar of the first waterfall.After just under two kilometers you will pass some sandbanks that are ideal for a break. Refresh your feet in the cool water, let your snack taste and enjoy the fantastic nature in the gorge.Shortly after, you leave the Grießbach and wander a bit uphill. The path leads you on the historic Holzfällerweg through magical mixed forest again relaxed downhill to your starting point.

Like a fine curtain of water, the Schleierwasserfall pours over a 80 -meter-high rock face. A great natural spectacle that you will experience on this almost twelve-kilometer hike. The round trip starts at the Alpengasthof Rummlerhof, northwest of St. Johann in Tirol.Over a beautiful forest path you walk four kilometers uphill towards Diebsöfen. Legend has it that smugglers and thieves hid up here. Soon you can hear the roar of the veil waterfall. You have mastered the challenging part of the hike, time for a break. Next to the beautiful waterfall are some of the heaviest climbing routes in the world. Maybe you can watch the athletes clinging to the overhangs.From now on it's just downhill. You wander over the Regalm and enjoy fantastic views of the mountain panorama. After a good eight kilometers, another highlight awaits you: the hiking trail "Moor & More". On the themed trail, you will get to know the moor landscape of the Wilder Kaiser, fun game stations in connection with riddles and information on nature make the way particularly entertaining. The moor offers a unique flora and fauna, which you will discover on well maintained paths.Soon you have reached your starting point, the Gasthof Rummlerhof, again and can look forward to a fluffy Kaiserschmarrn at the end of the great hike.
Pack your swimming trunks, put on hiking boots and off you go! This 14 kilometer long hike takes you from Oberndorf in Tyrol to the beautiful Schwarzsee. The circular walk runs in a relaxed up and down without many vertical meters, a refreshment at half-time yet located.You leave the village, wander past the gravel works and dive into the beautiful landscape of the high plateau Bichlach. The path leads you over beautiful meadows and past traditional farms. After about five kilometers you have reached the first break, the Gieringer pond.Continue through the beautiful moorland to the Schwarzsee, the largest moor lake in Tyrol. The water quality is first class and the panorama of the Kaiser Mountains could not be more beautiful. At the natural lake it is worth taking a long break for swimming (in summer the water warms up to 27 degrees) or boating. If you get hungry, you will find some restaurants on the shore.Refreshed you continue hiking direction Steuerberg. On the beautiful terrace in the tavern you can take a coffee and cake break in the shade of the trees. About one kilometer further on, you will pass the third body of water on this tour, the Hasenbergweiher. From here, the last three kilometers gently downhill to the starting point of the tour.
Always along the water - this hike takes you on its eleven kilometers long route always along the banks of the Großache. The 79-kilometer-long river rises at an altitude of 1,274 meters at the Pass Thurn in the Kitzbühel Alps. On his journey to Lake Chiemsee, he also flows past Kirchdorf in Tirol, where you start your hike.On a flat stretch you cross the Großache right at the beginning, keep left and follow the river in the direction of flow after a short stop at the chapel. On the way you can enjoy a beautiful panorama of the surrounding mountains. The path leads you past Erpfendorf, shortly thereafter you cross the river and walk back across the opposite side of the river.Back in Kirchdorf in Tirol you can extend the hike by a bridge, you continue to hike and cross the Großache at the height of Litzlfelden. So you can enjoy the beautiful landscape of blue river, green meadows and high mountains even longer.On the way you will pass many nice resting places. If you prefer to be hosted, you can take a detour to Erpfendorf or choose an inn in Kirchdorf in Tirol.
Crystal clear mountain lakes, quaint alpine taverns and, in between, another way to let off steam - all this awaits you on this eleven kilometer hike. From the center of St. Johann in Tirol you start in the direction of Oberndorf. At the Fixlerkapelle in Apfeldorf you turn off to get on the way up to the pastures.The track, which is used as a toboggan run in winter, winds its way up through the forest. On hot summer days the trees offer you enough shade. The higher you get, the more impressive are the views of the surrounding mountains, such as the Wilder Kaiser. After a good four kilometers you have reached the Baßgeiger Alm and you can take a break first.The path leads you a little further uphill until you see the mountain lake Angerer Alm in front of you. Enjoy the view of the lake, the extensive green alpine meadow and the dense forest. If you need a bit more action, then you can let off steam in the climbing park Hornpark even further.Comfortable it goes on, the next mountain lake is only a kilometer away. The Schlosserbergsee lies quietly in the idyllic landscape, the surrounding, snow-covered peaks are reflected in the water. Just beautiful! You continue hiking and have always great views of the Kaisergebirge. The path leads you on beautiful forest trails downhill until you can see again soon the houses of St. John in Tirol.
