    Embark on a round of nature enjoyment with rail connections: the starting point of this approximately 30-kilometer round is directly at the Neubrücke (Nahe) train station, which can be reached quickly and easily from the Rhein-Main area or from Saarbrücken. So you can relax on a beautiful tour to the edge of the National Park Hunsrück-Hochwald and along the Traunbach back in Nahetal.Let's go over a piece of the bike path to Birkenfeld. There is a stop in the recreation area Fischwaid worthwhile, right on the nature reserve Tongruben - why this route is called "water dreams" is demonstrated here impressively for the first time, because here it is just fantastically beautiful. In the idyllic fishponds there is the possibility to stop at the Anglerheim. If your e-bike needs a bit more power, the Café Treibhaus offers the perfect break location, because there is a charging station here.Further on, the path leads you across the fields to Bruecken, where again a nice rest stop at a pond awaits you. In spring, this spot impresses with its numerous wild daffodils, which color the shores of the Traunbach in a golden yellow color. From here we continue to Abentheuer with its historic ironworks and finally over the old Erzweg along the edge of the National Park along towards the Saarland border. If you still feel like it, you can extend the tour over Sötern to Bostalsee and drive back on the Naheradweg. However, our route leads you directly through the Trauntal downhill to Hoppstädten-Weiersbach.The route is well marked so that you can stay on the right track without looking at your smartphone.

Thanks to the best rail connection to Kronweiler, you can drive relaxed and without a car to the starting point of this approximately 50-kilometer round.If you like, you can tune into the beautiful scenery that awaits you right at the beginning of the tour. A short detour to the Naheufer with its impressive rock walls left and right is worthwhile. Then it starts right. Between fields and forest you cycle over Oberbrombach to Leisel. The Roman tomb "Kipp", the Götterallee and the church Heiligenbösch are right on the route and tell the story of the region - silent highlights that invite you to rest and inform you at the same time.From the Sprudeldorf Schwollen you will continue to Hattgenstein, where the lookout tower gives you a wonderful view of the country. Small trips to the Sauerbrunnen and the Petersquelle in Oberhambach are definitely worth it, because the water that splashes out of the ground here should be very healthy. Happily refreshed you swing yourself back on your bike and go to the last section. In Birkenfeld it goes again high: Castle Birkenfeld lures with a great view of the city and on the wooded hills of the National Park Hunsrück-Hochwald on the horizon, you have previously met on your bike. About a leisurely mountain trail it goes back to the Nahetal to Kronweiler.

Today, you can guess the old Abentheurer ironworks, which you pass on this 26 kilometer long cycle loop.Start of the tour is in Birkenfeld. Past the idyllic fishing pond you cycle to Abentheuer, so a stop at the ironworks is really worthwhile. After you have informed everything about the history of the oldest blast furnace in Hünsrück and about the production of cast iron, you drive along the southern edge of the National Park Hunsrück-Hochwald until you enjoy from a distance a magnificent view of the small town Rinzenberg with its pretty old farmhouses ,Shortly thereafter, it becomes really idyllic: At the Sauerbrunnen at Oberhambach worth a break with a short walk to Petersquelle. Here was once a spa, the guests drank the ferrous water of the sour well, which was also sent as healing water in the world. A sip can not hurt, then it rides much fresher.Through the picturesque valley of Hambach, the route leads you via Elchweiler on to Schmißberg. If you feel like it, you can always stop at the stations of the Planetenradwegs, which leads around the lake.
