Wide arnica meadows and cotton grass, torrents, bog and, with a bit of luck, a few animals - for this good nine-kilometer hike, it is worth packing the camera. On the National Park Dream Loop Börfinker Ochsentour you expect a lot of great photo opportunities, pure nature and a lot of hiking fun. Start of the circular hike is at Forellenhof Trauntal. The tour takes you through the heart of the National Park Hunsrück-Hochwald. On the meadow passage above the Forellenhof, keep an eye out for the ospreys and black storks that have their home here. You leisurely walk uphill until you reach the "Ochsenbruch", a typical Hunsrück hillside moor. Here you can take a rest, set with your camera on the prowl and capture the unique flora and fauna. The path is special in every season: while the moor shows its best side in winter, the flowering of the wild daffodils and the daphne in the Trauntal is a unique spectacle in spring. Summer time is butterfly time in the meadows above the Forellenhof and in the fall there is hardly a better place to listen to the roaring of the deer during the rutting season - or "cheer" as it is called here in the region. After your walk you can strengthen yourself in the trout farm and take a first inventory of your photo-yield.
