Europe's longest Flow Country Trail in nock/bike region Bad Kleinkirchheim

The Austrian mountain town of Bad Kleinkirchheim is ready to take bikers on a 15-kilometre (9.3 mi) adventure. The start of the trail is located at 2,055 metres (6,742 ft) above sea level at the Kaiserburgbahn mountain railway station. From here, it heads downhill, with steep turns, drops, bumps and rollers accompanying you all the way.
The Flow Country Trail’s average gradient is 8%, covering a total of almost 1,000 metres (3,280 ft) in altitude. Along the trail, you can stop at rest and relaxation areas with a view of the southern Alpine world.The special thing about the Flow Country Trail is that you can leave it in some places and combine your Tour with other mountain bike routes and single trails in the region.
The entire biking region in Bad Kleinkirchheim is very varied. With a trail network totalling 750 kilometres (466 mi), there’s something for all abilities. There are a total of 2,300 downhill metres (7,545 ft) and 1,000 metres (3,280 ft) of uphill. The five natural single trails vary in difficulty and are particularly fun. The Nock Lake trails lead you directly to the shore of Lake Brennsee in Feld am See municipality. At the Rossalm Hunt, you can join the ‘Rossalm Hut Trail | nock/bike Trail T8’ and at the Mainburnn Hut, you can join the natural single trails ‘Alter Almweg Trail | nock/bike Trail T1’ and ‘Bachweg Trail | nock/bike Trail T20’ which leads you directly to Lake Brennsee.
If you’re a beginner or less experienced, you should train on one of the region’s practice trails and get some tips on your technique before setting off on one of the natural single trails.
Only in Bad Kleinkirchheim and Feld am See can you ride from a summit to a lake. Some of the natural single trails and MTB routes lead directly to the Bikers Lounge on the shore of the glistening waters of Brennsee. After an eventful day of biking, you can jump into the clear lake – a refreshing end to a great day biking.
On this tour you follow the tracks of the World Cup downhill course "Carinthia-Franz Klammer". You start in Bad Kleinkirchheim from the Maibrunn parking lot. Via the Maibrunn Forstweg you come to the Unterwirt Hüttn and on to the Maibrunn mountain station. After that, it gets very steep for a short time - take it easy, slide a piece and enjoy the beautiful view.

The Maibrunn Trail is a beautiful, rather simple, flowiger nature trail, mainly on forest and meadow paths with a few shallow root passages. The single trail leads from the summit of the Kolmnock on 1,850 meters along the ridge to the east to the Maibrunn mountain station (1,750 meters).
