She ran the trails around the Bernina Group one by one until she had circumnavigated the entire mountain range once. In this Collection, we show you the tour around the Bernina massif. You can either run it in six to seven stages at a time or, like Julia, in individual sections. Experience the world and breathtaking nature through the eyes of a passionate trail runner. For an unforgettable time in the Engadine, we have put together seven experiences for you in addition to the Bernina Tour. The varied day tours are a mix of trail runs and hikes of various degrees of difficulty – everyone is guaranteed to find something to suit them. On the routes, you will experience huge glaciers and mountains, pretty valleys and landscapes with picturesque lakes which are stunning in every season.
The approximately 130-kilometer route takes you around the Bernina Group. You can run the tour as a trail runner in six to seven stages. Among others, Surlej, Maloja, Bernina and Pontresina are eligible as milestones. If you want, you can of course also run the tour in separate parts of the day, just like the trail runner Julia Bleasdale did.Julia lost her heart to the Engadine and its trails. She loves to experience the landscape intensively while walking. On this tour you can do it at night and follow the trails through the lovely Val Roseg or the beautiful valley of Val da Fain. In Sils directly on the lake starts the varied circular route. Right at the beginning you walk along the shores of Lake Sils. The flat stretch is ideal for breaking in. After you have followed the Ufertrail to the end of the lake, you leave the water and walk on a rocky trail up to the Lägh dal Lunghin, which is located at 2,484 meters. At the top of the lake, you have earned a break, where you can enjoy the unique alpine panorama. You have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and the high, snow-capped peaks in the distance that form the border with Italy.From the lake you walk downhill on a slightly bumpy trail. In the enchanting village of Grevasalvas you can see the quaint stone and wooden houses. The small town is a bit off the beaten track, the detour but worth it all. Then it goes downhill on the Via Engiadina. You follow a gentle, unpaved single trail back to the starting point of the tour on the sparkling lake.

This challenging tour takes you from Zernez across the high plateau of the Macun Lakes to Lavin. For the promising hike you need good condition, sturdy shoes, sure-footedness and alpine experience.It starts in Zerenz at the station. Immediately behind the village, immerse yourself in the magnificent nature of the Swiss National Park and ascend to the Munt Baselgia, which is at an altitude of 2,945 meters. From here you can enjoy a unique view of the lakes of Macun and the surrounding peaks of the Silvretta group. With a little luck, you will also see ibexes populating the lake plateau.From Munt Baselgia you then descend to the more than 20 lakes. If you like, you can add a loop to the Lai da Dragun here - according to legend, a little dragon lives in the lake. From the lake plateau you continue downhill to the finish of the tour, the station in Lavin.
The varied climate trail leads from the cable car station Muottas Muragl to the chairlift Languard. On the way you will enjoy a magnificent view of the Bernina massif and can inform yourself on 18 thematic panels about climate change and the already visible changes in the Alps.It starts at the mountain station Muottas Muragl. From here you wander relaxed first down the valley. After crossing the Ova da Muragl, you will ascend in a series of bends on a rocky path up to the Schafberg. At the top you have a beautiful view. A few meters further you will reach the Chamanna Segantini. At the hut you can take a leisurely break and strengthen yourself with regional delicacies.With new strength you hike downhill towards Alp Languard. On the way there is a narrow and exposed path section. You follow the climatic gorge and descend over the flank and grass strips to the finish of the tour, the Alp Languard chairlift mountain station. Here you can have a nice break at the end of the hike.
On the beautiful circular walk you will experience the high alpine lake and flora of the Upper Engadine. It leads you to the six Lejins, which are romantic little lakes. The mountain lakes were named after minerals and rocks that occur in them.The hike starts at the Furtschellas middle station at 2,312 meters altitude. From here you go on the waterway towards Alp Munt. After a steep climb you reach the first small mountain lake, the Lejin Cristal. On your way to the other lakes, the Lejin Magnetite, Lejin Malachite, Lejin Rhodonite, Lejin S-chaglia and Lejin Epidot you will pass rocky flanks of the Corvatsch massif. On the way, you will always enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, the crystal-clear lakes and the valley. For a rest you can visit the Rabgiusa Hut or the restaurant La Chüdera with its spacious viewing terrace.Little explorers have fun on the water with the booklet "Plitsch und Splash" in which they can read a funny story about the way. Kobold Furbaz and Bergfee Mara tell interesting facts about the six lakes of the waterway. The booklet you get for your little ones for free at the base stations Corvatsch or Furtschellas.
On this scenic mountain trail you hike through the Val Bregaglia, one of the most secluded valleys in Switzerland. On old paths it goes through bright mixed forests and massive granite slabs. You always have the powerful backdrop of the impressive mountain peaks on the other side of the valley in view.Let's start the varied hike in Maloja. From here you hike gently downhill. Past historic ruins such as the church ruins of S. Gaudenzio and the impressive dam of the Albigna Reservoir, you will reach the vast mixed forests.On the sunny southern flank of the valley you follow the path upwards and finally reach a beautiful mountain trail. Here you have the opportunity to take a leisurely break in the middle of the middle of the middle of the middle of the Durbegia. You can enjoy the beguiling panorama on the opposite, massive Granitzacken.Continue towards Soglio over granite slabs paving the way, bridging over watercourses or descending stairs. Above St. Moritz on Corviglia, an orienteering race is staged every year between 1 July and 31 August. The ticket for the run, which is marked with 15 posts, you get at the valley station for CHF 5. The area is located at over 2,000 meters altitude, making it an ideal altitude training.The starting point of the route is at the mountain station. Here you can either take the funicular from St. Moritz via Chantarella or you can run up to get warm. Once at the top you will enjoy a fantastic view of the picturesque mountains, through which the trails of orienteering will lead you.
The adventure trail takes you on a scenic route to Val Roseg. From the train station in Pontresina, you will hike through the wild and romantic high valley past ten information points where you will learn all about the flora, fauna and the valley itself. On the way you will enjoy unforgettable views of the impressive glaciers and the beautiful landscape. The aim of the hike is the restaurant Roseg Glacier at the end of the Morteratsch Glacier. From here you can take a carriage back to Pontresina.Especially for children, this adventure trail is a great adventure. The clever Fox Fix tells the kids at ten stamp stations more about forest, animals, hunting and much more. He also shows them the beauties of the valley in which he lives.
