Road Cycling Collection by

"Go where the Locals go" - the road bike scene of the Upper Austrian town of Wels is big and passionate. Here, both professionals and hobby riders alike train in the mountains—rides that reveal the best of the landscape in stints of between 30 and 50 kilometers. Its central location makes Wels the ideal starting point for road rides throughout Upper Austria, meaning that for however long you come to Wels for—don't forget to bring your bike. The locals travel in groups several days a week and are happy to take guests with them.

After Work Rides
"Work hard, play hard" is the motto of the Wels road cyclists. That's why they get out on their road bikes the second work is done. As shorter tides, they're perfect for finishing the day, or for getting in some quick kilometers on the days you arrive or depart.

Landscape and Culture
Schlögener Schlinge, the old town of Steyr or the beautiful Almsee. In addition to road cycling, these rides focus on experiencing the local landscape and offer plenty of spots for a memorable break during the ride.

Endurance
Are you looking for a sporting challenge? Wels is one of the hotspots of the Austrian road bike scene for a reason: Train on the tracks of Wolfgang Fasching and the professionals of Team Felbermayr-Simplon. Crisp climbs and numerous training kilometers are guaranteed!
