Fresh fish and mountain cheese are just some of the treats you are likely to indulge in here in one of Austria’s culinary hotspots. The tour leads through the picturesque landscape of the UNESCO World Heritage region Hallstatt-Dachstein / Salzkammergut. After the start in Bad Goisern, the tour goes along the Hallstättersee Ostuferweg. Along the narrow trail, the imposing Goiserer Lindwurm makes you fast legs. Then an impressive suspension bridge leads directly over the deepest part of the lake. Past the train station in Hallstatt, the round will take you to Obertraun. Here we recommend a detour to the Krippenstein to the viewing platforms 5fingers or Welterbespirale. By boat it goes from the center back to the eastern shore of Lake Hallstatt and so back to the starting point.
