This bike ride leads to the shore of the beautiful
Starnberger See and is quite demanding with almost 40 kilometers in length. But you have a goal in front of the eyes: On the shore of Germany's fifth largest lake, you can refresh yourself in peace or just enjoy the great view of the lake.
You start in a parking lot, centrally in Geretsried across from the town hall. Along the Föhrenwald we go through the hamlets Gartenberg and Stein, before you cross the B11. In the Bibisee you can cool off, while a little later Eurasburg grants you with its remarkable castle grounds beautiful views of the Loisachtal. A little bit more, then you have reached the recreational area on Lake Starnberg near Buchscharn.Whether Bibisee or the Starnberger: If you are traveling in summer, you should definitely pack bathing suits, so you can jump into the water to cool off. Back in Geretsried, you can end the day with a visit to the museum, which is waiting for you right across the street.

On this family-friendly bike tour around the Kirchsee you expect a unique moor and marshland, lonely farming villages and numerous swimming. You start at the guest house in Bad Tölz and drive directly to the car park Isarpromenade. From there, you can get on the Mayor Stollreither promenade to the Isarsteg. From here the path is best marked with yellow signposts. After you have passed the walls of the forest cemetery, it is exhausting: The first 500 meters up the Faistweg are quite steep. The path leads you now through the Ellbachmoor to Kirchseemoor. You will really enjoy this section of the route. The moors have been protected since 1940 and are a particularly valuable area for butterflies. Maybe you see a nice butterfly?Next highlight is the monastery Reutberg. It was founded in 1618 by Countess Anna von Pienzenau and became the first Capuchin monastery in Bavaria. Special treasures of the monastery are its baroque crib and the Reutberg Christkindl, a legendary statue of Jesus. The Bräustüberl right next door offers you the opportunity to recharge your batteries. Then it continues in a northerly direction to the branch Kirchsee. After crossing the Kirchseebach you finally reach the parking lot at the lake. Here you have for the first time the opportunity to cool off in the Kirchsee or to take a short break at the kiosk. If you still do not feel like taking a break, just continue to the next swimming, the Koglweiher. This was created at the end of the last ice age, when the mighty glaciers melted away. This resulted in wet soils and bogs. The Kogler pond has been created by melting dead ice and thus a glacial relic. And an icy-pleasant refreshment. On the way back, you have another opportunity to strengthen yourself. At Gasthof Zum Schützenwirt you can make a stopover before following the yellow signs to Bad Tölz again. As a little treat awaits you here a rapid descent through the forest. Beware, however, at the end of Faistweges at the intersection with the busy Bairawieser Straße. After all, you want to get back to Bad Tölz after such a nice bike ride.At the end of this tour, you have the opportunity to take a detour to the Alpamare adventure pool. There you can either let off steam in the fun pool area or relax in the thermal baths of the large wellness park.

The start in the tranquil climatic spa of Lenggries already characterizes a large part of today's route. Because the name Lenggries goes back to "Lenngengrieze", which used to refer to the long scree deposits in the riverbed of the Isar. Isarkiesel, you see a lot of that today. But before you cycle through tranquil hamlets on beautiful, quiet roads or on gravel bike paths to Bad Tölz. You land directly on the historic market street. Here Bad Tölz shows its best side. On cobblestone streets and squares, under colorfully painted baroque gables, cafes, restaurants and beer gardens invite you to linger and enjoy. Please note that the center of Bad Tölz is partially designated as a pedestrian area and is accordingly considerate.Right after a little stroll through the city the next highlight awaits you. How about a relaxing break on the gravel banks of the Isar?On the way back you follow the Isar Cycle Route, which is 290 kilometers long and follows the Isar from its source in Kastenalm to Deggendorf. You only do it today for about 15 kilometers. Enough time to enjoy the picturesque gravel banks and the Isar floodplains in peace. Finally, you can be pampered shortly before the finish in Lenggries in Café Schusterpeter with delicious food or freshly baked cake.

This moderately difficult round trip from Walchensee to Mittenwald runs for a long time along the well-known Isar cycle path. The course of the tour is moderate, the altitude keep within limits, but at the end of the day are 46 kilometers and 410 meters in altitude on your bike computer. But you will be rewarded with beautiful views and a ride through almost untouched lands. The tour starts in Walchensee. Short drive along the lake of the same name and continue around the peninsula Zwergern to the hamlet of Einsiedl. Here you cross the B11 shortly and painlessly and follow the course of the bike path to Krün.Here you cross the so-called Buckelwiesen - a unique landscape, which was formed in the last great ice age. The Isar glacier pushed the gravel into long bumps, and then these humpback meadows were created by frost and karstification processes, which can now only be seen in their natural state in a few places. A great place to enjoy this landscape is the chapel Maria Rast.In Mittenwald arrived in the center some opportunities to breathe and stop. Back you drive along the Isar, past the Isar Reservoir to Krün and back to Wallgau. The rest of the way back on the already traveled route via Obernach back to Walchensee.
