Currently there are two routes at Ochsenkopf. A "family run", which is relatively easy to master, and the mainline. You can classify it as a freeride track but also as a classic downhill track - also called "Fichtlriden".
The trail is very rocky and rocky in the upper section and therefore not easy for everyone to master. In the middle part, the track type changes to more flowing with some natural and built jumps. In this passage a lot of airtime is announced. The following fairytale forest is unfortunately relatively flat, but with some strength in the legs very fun and flowig to drive.
In the last section, the track becomes fast, winding and relatively demanding by some root orbits, but with flow and some fun jumps.

Thuringia's largest and most snow-guaranteed ski area attracts thousands of guests from all over Germany to Steinacher Hausberg, the 842-meter-high Fellberg, in the cold season. But even in the snow-free time, the idyllic location in the Thuringian Slate Mountains has a lot to offer. This turns the ski arena into a bike park for downhillers and freeriders. Then the double chairlift brings the riders with their bikes up to the mountain station, which is 150 meters higher, so that they can descend again in a fast pace.
