The Lake Constance cycle path is the dream of every globetrotter: to explore three countries in a five-day cycle tour. But as the most popular cycle path in the world, it has much more to offer: Unique views of Europe's third largest lake, the mountains behind it, picturesque historic towns and beautiful natural landscapes.
We have divided the 273-kilometre circuit on the largely flat Lake Constance cycle path into five stages of around 50 kilometres each and picked out the most beautiful highlights along the way. Starting point and destination of the tour is Constance, where you can easily get there by train or ferry. Along the cycle path around Lake Constance you will find a large selection of restaurants, cafés and accommodation, including many camping sites, youth hostels and bike-friendly hotels. On the way you will also cycle past railway stations and ferry stops if you want to shorten the tour or if you only want to ride one stage or a section of the Lake Constance cycle path right from the start.
The five-day tour takes you around Lake Constance, which consists of Überlinger See, Obersee and Untersee. On your tour you cycle through Germany, Austria and Switzerland and can enjoy the small but noticeable cultural differences. And the larger linguistic one. Hallo! Servus! Grüezi!
The Lake Constance Cycle Way is recommended in the brochure "Deutschland per Rad entdecken" by the ADFC (German Cyclist's Association) and is ranked as a quality cycle route with four stars. More information (in German): adfc.de/artikel/radurlaub-als-sternstunde
