Cross hiking? Doesn't ring a bell? No wonder, the ALBTAL.Abenteuer.Track is something brand new. Cross hikers leave marked hiking trails behind and cross natural obstacles in the landscape. Rocks, streams and precipitous hillsides are the challenges that you're looking for. Two arduous tours take you over sticks and stones in the northern Black Forest. But beware: This is nothing for wimps. A certain stamina and hunger for adventure is what it takes to complete the challenge. Do you think you're ready for this?
Just in case that two days of hiking aren't enough for you or you're not a fan of hardcore adventures, we added more beautiful hiking tours to this collection. Each one has its own charm - be it the discovery of historical sites or an unwinding stroll through nature's best. The northern Black Forest certainly has it all!

Around the Hahnenpfalzhütte on the 1st stage of the Albtal.Abenteuer.Tracks there are currently road closures due to forestry work. These are expected to be mid-May.
The Albtal.Adventure.Track can be committed to the hut. For the way back to Bad Herrenalb please follow the signs of the Schwarzwaldverein.

From the Albgaubad you walk through the Krebsbachklinge always along the water steeply uphill to Spessart. You wander along the village through orchards. Here you can enjoy a great view, then it goes behind Schöllbronn again on shady paths down into the Moosalb Valley. Always along the idyllic Moosalb and at the cultural-historical Wässerwiesen you continue hiking in the Albtal. From here you go up to the forest adventure path Spessart. Along Spessart, where there are refreshments and a barbecue area, you come through the forest back down to Ettlingen.
From the S-Bahn station in Marxzell, it goes steeply towards Mittelberg. Halfway up, a pavilion invites you to take a break. Continue on narrow trails through the forest up to Mittelberg, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view towards Karlsruhe. You continue to Moosbronn, where you can treat yourself to a break, before you always start along the water through the shady Moosalb valley back down towards the Albtal. On your way, you will pass several old water pipes and canals and inform yourself about the historic water meadows. When you reach the Albtal, you get back to the starting point with the S-Bahn from Fischweier.
On this tour, you will walk over the remains of a defensive wall built over 300 years ago to stop French troops advancing. In addition, you are granted wide views over the entire Rhine plain and you can switch off in the beautiful deciduous forests on the Kreuzlberg once again really.
On this beautiful, medium-length tour, there is pure nature to see! First you follow the streams around the wild Hasenberg on tiny forest paths before you enter the well-tended park of Waldbronn spa park a few kilometers further. There is a lot to discover and do there - from miniature golf to Kneipp there is a lot going on. Last but not least, under a dense foliage you follow the slowly flowing Mühlenkanal - a man-made tributary of the Alb - and finally the Alb itself back to Ettlingen.
