know the ‘green’ treasures of this varied region on 15 unique themed routes. Ammerland, in the north–west of Lower Saxony, has more beautiful parks and gardens than almost any other region. Let yourself be enchanted by a unique park landscape, blooming rhododendron parks and the pearl of the Ammerland – the Zwischenahner Meer.

In this Collection, we present our 15 themed bike Tours. The Rhododendron Route, for example, immerses you in a sea of colourful blossom. The Mühlenroute takes you to six wonderful mills, whilst you can cycle by peat cutting fields and along natural moorland paths on the Moor Route. The Tour de Flur teaches you about agriculture, forestry and nursery farming in Ammerland with 16 stops en route.

These 30 to 57 kilometre (18 to 35 mi) long circular Tours lead you through the region’s flat and slightly hilly landscapes – the perfect destination for your next day Tour. The flat terrain is sheltered by large wooded areas and, with a little tailwind from the East Frisian coast, you'll be freewheeling along the Ammerland's well–developed network of cycle paths!
