Mountain Biking Collection by komoot
Whether you live in the city or in the country, awesome trails for biking are just waiting to be found—everywhere. Sure, the mountains are not bad either, but you don’t always have them on your doorstep. And if you know where to find hottest trails in your area, you will have as much fun there anyway. What’s more, you can easily go on an after work or weekend ride—whenever and wherever you want. With that in mind, we’ve compiled the best recommendations from the komoot community, distributed throughout the country. Most paths run through shady forests, often beside fresh waters. Perfect for any kind of weather. Have fun and ride on!

The most beautiful trail I know! But also a highlight on foot.
Tip: Continue to follow the "Franconian Dune Trail" marking and drive off completely in stages (circular route in the form of an 8). You can still get past some of Nuremberg's highlights. The route is about 85 kilometers long.

Ordinary trail, with smaller jumps. Nice, but unofficial trail. To be taken with caution, because every now and then some walker thinks he could run up the trail with his dog.

Very nice path to overcome without problems and a nice intermediate piece if you still want to go up to the Schmidtenhöhe.

Something "heavier" trail for novice drivers, one should drive a MTB from trail / all-mountain category, to come down here with a secure feeling. At the beginning with div. Larger and smaller, sometimes sharp stones blocked in the way, the trail is always "flowiger" to then end at the Hochtaunusstraße. Tip: From here, turn again to Fuchstanz and from there to further trails direction OU / BH / Falkenstein.

The technology makes it possible. If you want to take a close look at what's waiting for you just click here and watch the Youtube video for the trail. Super cool.

Nice piece of trail, not rooted, good to drive. The entry may not be easy to find, but with Navi no problem.

Very nice mountain bike trail with partly rapid descents, demands endurance and training!

Currently there are logs on the trail, have 2 weeks ago which cleared away. But rather push up from below or first inspect the route. Ride On!

Great as a training round. From the Marienklausenbrücke towards the south and back on the other side of the Isar! Partly very technical! Lots of roots! Best drivable when dry! Have a lot of fun!

The Seven Bridges Trail is actually a single mountain bike trail. If you are technically savvy and like to drive off the forest highway, you will also have a lot of fun on the narrow, winding trail with the cross or gravel bike. Guaranteed grin on your face. ;)

Beautiful trail not too rooted, but relatively "retracted" in the lower part.

Uphill makes no sense here. ;-) Short fun over 800 meters. S0 to S1 with nice singletrack share. No real jumps. Can you extend on the mountain around it too.

Beautiful trail along the Tretschbach. In a few places obstacles have to be overcome by pushing; Wooden bridges give rise to Northshore Feeling. Rarely dry.

Update July '22:
Waldhüttenauffahrt is free again
*********************************A possibility of the many descents from Dünsbergturm to Dünsberggrund, almost continuously (5 individual trails) passable on trails. Also possible uphill. The lowest section is very muddy depending on the weather.

Above either the direct line with a small drop or keep left and in the right arc over the stone field - both requires courage and a bit of skill. Then an easy piece just with a small jump over a stone before it gets rougher again. Finally, a short steep section down to the creek bed. Checker cross the stream without descending ;-)

Nice departure, just let it run.

For me the first time quite demanding, but great.

Very flowy trail. Also uphill fun.
A few root passages, several mat holes.
"Leaves Tunnel"
Surfaces: mainly solid forest soil, partly sandy, partly soggy, few roots.
Take care of oncoming traffic and pedestrians!
