Black Forest – a relaxed route through three countries

Bike Touring Collection by
komoot

Simply hop on your bike and enjoy. This will be the motto for your four to five-day long round-trip through the southern Black Forest. Here you’ll find hardly any elevation gain, you’ll pass through stunning landscapes, and numerous villages and towns will enchant you with their charms.

From Hinterzarten, you start your Tour by heading up to the famous Lake Titi. Afterwards, you stroll along old train tracks that wind alongside the beautiful Wutach river as you make your way to the Upper Rhine and into Switzerland. From there, you go north along the border of France up to Fribourg, a town that will also be the final major stop of this relaxed Tour. From the lovely village of Himmelreich, you will take the Höllentalbahn to skip the 600-meter climb back to the start of your trip.
