The old Ponale road is probably the most famous mountain bike route on Lake Garda. It is equally suitable for larger children with high conditioning. Above all, the great view along the route creates motivation and makes cycling very entertaining. The great narrow track has been blown up into the rock and has a real adventure character. In view you almost always have the beautiful deep blue Lake Garda with its windsurfers and sailboats.
A small bike ride from Bad Aussee to the Ödensee and then up over the Radlingpass back to the starting point. Due to the relatively small vertical meters, it is also possible to do well with children. The landscape is beautiful and varied and a visit to the lake on hot days is always a highlight. The tour can of course be made in other directions, then the lake is more of a final highlight and the rest of the way leads only downhill and straight ahead.
The region is known for hiking and mountain bike tours. The round around the lake convinced with beautiful views, easy paths and a few vertical meters, which lead once or twice a bit more steeply upwards. You know the Zugspitze, the Eibsee less. Wherever we cycle by mountain bike, many families start their hikes. The mountain bike tour from Garmisch Partenkirchen up to this beautiful, clear mountain lake has 500 hm for children already in itself - but the reward, if you are up and cool down is worth the effort. Along the bike path you can enjoy the beautiful mountain landscape. The steepest part is distributed over the 2.5 km from the Badersee to the Eibsee. Good that it is only downhill after the bathing fun.
Up into the Wetterstein Mountains we take the Ehrwalder Almbahn and save the children the altitude. From there on it goes on relaxed paths minimally uphill and downhill to the most idyllic Seebensee at the Ehrwalder Alm. Mountain biking in Grisons is often challenging but there are also tours that are super feasible with children. From Lenzerheide we drive via Val Sporz to Spoina, up to the Heidsee and back to the starting point. The difference in altitude is not too high, everything is paved uphill and the slope is never very high either. Great for children and in summer the lake invites you to go swimming after the tour.
The tour to Lake Tenno is really nice and despite height meters also feasible for children, because the slope is well distributed and the scenery brings a lot of variety. At the lake there are two beautiful swimming spots in the summer, in spring the water is too fresh but the beautiful meadows around the lake invite you for a picnic.
Along the Lech, where it has not yet become a big river, it goes over paved roads to its source area. Past beautiful alpine pastures and through the small village of Zug, it's over the Zuger Alpe and the so-called "Untere Älple" by mountain bike up to the Formarinsee. The ordinary elevation meters spread pleasantly on the track, so that the whole route for children without boarding is passable.
The blue sparkling Plansee makes hearts melt. A picture that you will not forget so fast. All the better if you almost always have it in view on a mountain bike tour. Especially on warm days then offers a refreshing dip. The tour is not difficult in itself, only the trail on the south side of the lake can be a bit protracted. But he is definitely feasible and otherwise you just get off and push a few meters before the driving pleasure continues.
Nice, more beautiful, Lake Constance. This easy and cozy bike ride offers fantastic views, lakes for swimming, good trails - just perfect for enjoying. Shortly before the Hofgut Schleinsee it goes steeply uphill, but otherwise the slope is well distributed and it is always cozy up and down until you cycle flat again along Lake Constance.
