In winter, when the trees are tormented by snow and ice and the freezing fog covers the landscape, a well-known landscape might be transformed into an undiscovered fairytale world. Real winter landscapes do not only exist in the Alps and in distant childhood memories. In a small low mountain range, in the northeastern part of Bavaria, the perfect winter landscape can be found in more moderate heights: Servus Fichtelgebirge!

The only thing here, that bursts through the silence of nature is the scrunchy sound of your boots stomping through the snow. With its bizarre rock formations and wide valleys, the Fichtel Mountains make it easy for you to leave the rest of the world behind. Our hut tours are perfect for a two-day-escape into the mountains. If you have enough time, you can also choose the variation for a long weekend. Doesn’t matter if you hike two or three days, if it’s frozen ground or deep snow. Hiking through the Fichtel Mountains is the perfect winter adventure, wether you go with hiking boots or on snow shoes.

Day 3 has begun. Today is again a very nice stage in front of you. After the approximately 23 km of the last two days, it is now a bit shorter and almost exclusively downstream. With just under 3 hours walking time you also have enough time for the trip home; or just to enjoy nature.
