    hey hey!

Finally the time had come and we started this year's 2.5-week hike towards the North Cape.

In the last three years we have hiked from Berlin to Vansbro. What fun is all I can tell you.

This year we will spend a lot of our time walking around the southern Kungsleden. 😉

    Unfortunately, unfortunately

    Dear Diary

    Hello Hello,

    today we went to Yttermalung.

In the most beautiful sunshine, we hiked exclusively on gravel roads that meandered through a pine forest.

The highlights of today's tour were first two fox cubs playing along the way. really cute! The second big experience of today was a greenshank who

    Dear Diary

Day 3 of our hike started with a dry bun. We thought we would get a normal breakfast with coffee and such at the campsite. Nope, there were only baked rolls. Better than nothing.

Also today the sun shone on our skulls all day long.

As a result, we were soaked in sweat super quickly, but you don

    Dear Diary

    A day of changeable weather.

In the morning for breakfast it was still pleasantly warm, although the sun was hidden behind thick clouds, but okay.

Again today we hiked on forest tracks and small country roads.

Our route presented itself very, very hilly. We gave names to the "mountains". Mount

    Dear Diary

We arrived in Sälen today. 😀

Yes how was the day? Well, very rainy with cold drops felt from the North Pole.

Not much happened. From time to time a squirrel or a few common gulls circled around us.

    Doesn't matter.

We were so looking forward to Sälen, because finally we can say goodbye to the country

    Dear Diary

    What a weather. 😳

The Kungsleden welcomed us with extremely bad weather.

    Rain, stormy and only 6°C.

We quickly realized that we had forgotten something very useful. Gloves!

The strong wind really shakes us up on the fell. 😳

When we reached a shelter, we agreed to stay here.

I had a shift in the

    Dear Diary

When we peeked out of the refuge this morning, we were really happy about the weather.

Already warmer than yesterday and no rain!

After a quick breakfast, we set off.

There was a lot going on at the first hut. Some day trippers and a larger group who want to spend the weekend in the mountains

And again the weather is a bit better!

A Dutch woman with her son and dog joined us for breakfast. We exchanged ideas and came to the same conclusion that it was a dreamy landscape!

We shagged off to the first destination, a small hut on a mountain. It was uphill there and we quickly started

    Dear Diary

In the morning, when the drizzle was not really worth mentioning, I went to inspect the outhouses. Removed😀

My buddies were slowly waking up and there was a quick snack for breakfast.

Fred, the Brazilian and his daughter Isabel also slowly shuffled out of their beds.

    They looked a bit crumpled

    Dear Diary

We were just having breakfast when two older couples scurried over. We said friendly hey hey. A nod came from the gentlemen. We only heard when they were a few feet away. "There's no wheat here either." Haha 😂

The first laugh of the day.

The path led us back into the mountains. The weather was

    Dear Diary

We were still in the shelter when the door opened and three hikers looked in.

    So time to get up.

There was a soup prepared on the spirit burner and crispbread.

The first goal was a large hut with a kiosk. We ran quickly over the mountains in anticipation of replenishing our provisions.

    Dear Diary

We were out of our sleeping bags very quickly. The anticipation drove us out, because today there should be burgers and beer for breakfast.

We were there on time when Café Gose opened.

We took a seat and ordered a round of beers.

The weather was characterized by being slightly muggy and the first

    Dear Diary

It was slightly chilly early in the morning as we crawled out of our sleeping bags.

Today it was really high time to take a "bath". The water wasn't as bitingly cold as expected.

Today it would be the first pure forest stage. Great anticipation!

The nice thing was that we had plenty of time for

I unzipped my tent and a moose stared at me.

    Nonsense, I only dreamed that.

The day started with a delicious cup of chanterelle soup. What a weather! It was already full of sun and warm.

Actually, we would have wanted to sit around a little longer, but it was already quite late. Yes, our motto

Finest sunshine shone into our refuge. We went out and did an hour of morning yoga. Oh nonsense.

This time there was an asparagus cream soup for breakfast.

Excited but relaxed we set off. Today we faced long stretches of swamp. Basically not wild, because otherwise there are planks over the morass

Wild barking of dogs brought us back from sweet dreams to Scandinavian reality.

It was the landlady on her morning walk with her pack of dogs.

In the roaring wind we quickly packed our clothes. It was also fun to capture the upper tents. We just didn't feel like flying kites.

    The first goal was

Heavy rain drums on the Blechbach of our hut. Luckily we had time today and sat or lay out the rainy weather. The two Hamburgers were already on the road and certainly had a lot of fun.

In the hut we found another "portion" of cappuccino. We still had a unit of instant coffee with us. We mixed

Also this morning we booked a wake-up service again, in the form of day hikers. The door opened and an elderly gentleman stood in "our" hut. We ignored the first visit and turned around. Eventually it was too much and we got up. A larger group had already formed outside the door. Now we arranged
