Welcome to our Weekend Adventure series, where we present an exciting selection of trails and roads around major European cities. These Tours are easily accessible from the city centre and can either be tackled in a single day or split up to provide a complete weekend experience. So pack your gear and go exploring, because this is where the adventure begins.
Your gravel bike and some lightweight luggage is all you need – from your apartment to the train and in a few minutes you're on an adventure. Out in the green spaces, in the woods and hills, surrounded by nature and incredible trails. The area around Vienna boasts true gravel pleasure in the UNESCO Biosphere Park Wienerwald. Flowing trails, smooth gravel, fine forest paths, asphalt bike paths and byways. Not to forget the many uphills and downhills. It’s easy to see the Wienerwald is the northeastern end of the Alps, as two of the Tours are are pretty hilly.
In this Collection we have put together three exciting Tours in the vicinity of Vienna and the Mostviertel. The Tour to the Mariazeller Land winds through the magical Vienna Woods and the alpine Mostviertel. The riding becomes more technical and demanding at the bottom of the famous Vienna Woods, just outside Vienna. The route around the Danube is pure enjoyment – you'll discover the water world of the Danube Floodplain National Park and the urban jungle at a leisurely pace.
No matter which Tour you choose, you’ll discover completely new sides of your city on the most diverse trails. Get involved and go on an adventure!
