Finally, it's the end of the day! Around Vienna, there are countless opportunities to leave everyday life behind and set out on a relaxed road bike Tour. Even within the city limits, you can always find great routes free of heavy traffic, where you’ll quickly forget that you’re in a bustling metropolis. No matter which direction you want to head, there’s a route for you in my Collection of the seven most beautiful after-work rides around the capital.

If you're in the mood for elevation gain and crisp climbs, choose one of the loops in the Vienna Woods. They’re worth the effort, because great views of the city and fast descents await. Alternatively, if you just want to switch off your mind and relax after a hard day's work, I recommend one of the routes that follow the course of the Danube. Here, you can cycle towards the sunset on developed cycle paths, without any significant gradients.

The start points of the Tours are usually in central, easily accessible locations. When this is not the case, they’re easy to reach by public transport. Be aware, however, that you’re only allowed to take your bike on the underground on weekdays between 9am and 3pm and after 6:30 pm. This restriction doesn’t apply to ÖBB's S-Bahn and regional trains.

So, go ahead, get on your bike at the end of the day and explore my after-work Tours!
