Imposing peaks, enchanted forests and rustic alpine pastures, soundtracked by the faint jingle of cowbells in the distance. The Kaiser Mountains offer fantastic nature to the east of Kufstein, a fortress town on the Inn River. The idyllic Kaiser Valley in Kufsteinerland is a dream for hikers. The rugged mountain massif in the middle of the Kaisergebirge nature reserve attracts walkers, families, trail runners and passionate mountain enthusiasts alike.

Near the Kufstein Fortress, the rock faces of the Tyrolean mountains stand out in every conceivable shade of grey against the otherwise green surroundings. Here, in the border region between Tyrol and Bavaria, nature is still pristine. Breathtaking views and alpine idylls await. The lofty Wilder Kaiser peak is always in view as you hike. Mighty and untamed – and yet at a respectful distance – it stands and accompanies you as a silent guardian on your Tours.

In this Collection, we present seven very different hikes and trail running Tours in and around the Kaiser Mountains. From a short after-work trail to a challenging full-day mountain Tour on the Zahmen Kaiser, everything is included. Of course, you can also hike the trail running loops – you choose your pace. You'll soon realise that diversity is particularly important in Kufsteinerland when you take a look at the varied hiking Tours.

What all the Tours have in common is the proximity to the Wilder Kaiser and the fascinating mountain world that surrounds it. As soon as you leave Kufstein behind you, you're immersed in the rocky and forested landscapes of the Kaisergebirge. Every step takes you away from everyday life. Delicious food and typical Tyrolean delicacies at the alpine huts are a great reward for your efforts. A summit is also usually not far away, whether the Pendling local mountain, the Kranzhorn, or the rugged Pyramidenspitze.

All loops can be reached either directly from Kufstein or nearby towns in the Inn Valley and start at hikers’ car parks. If you'd prefer to use public transport, you usually have the option. With the KufsteinerlandCard, you can use the region’s buses free of charge.

Let's go! Discover the Kufsteinerland and the Kaisergebirge nature reserve with all its great trails, idyllic spots and myriad charms.
