Hiking Highlight
โจ Marvel, discover and try out ๐พ๐
The visitor center in the historic Forum Vogelsang IP - in the middle of the Eifel National Park - houses the exhibition "Wildnis(t)rรคume" - a barrier-free, family-friendly and interactive experience for young and old!
In the adventure exhibition "Wilderness(t)dreams" you can let yourself be surprised and marvel, discover and research, understand and reflect or simply spend a stimulating time. The exhibition has something to offer for the whole family and for all ages. There are modern productions and an appealing atmosphere, stations to try out and play with, tactile models and stuffed animals to touch, plant scents to sniff, radio plays and animal sounds to listen to. And many new perspectives that sharpen the view of nature.
In addition to German, English, French and Dutch, the content is also available in simple language, in sign language and as an audio description. A tactile guidance system shows the way through the seven exhibition modules, which are also easily accessible with a wheelchair or pram. The "Travel for All" certificate confirms the implementation of accessibility in all areas.
Other offers await you before or after the โwilderness(t)roomsโ: the Vogelsang IP site and a NS documentation on its eventful history, information and a shop in the central visitor center, a social get-together in the restaurant or a hike into the countryside. Impressive in any weather and can also be enjoyed from the panorama room of the "Wilderness(t)Rooms" are the wide views over the Urftsee, the densely forested mountain slopes and the open grassy landscapes of the Eifel National Park.
If you have any questions about the exhibition or bookings, you can reach us at 02444/91574-0.

Great destination for young and old. Knowledge about plants and animals of the forest is conveyed in a clear way. Nice to look at through replicas of mushrooms and birds, boards and spoken tape recordings. You can even get information here in Braille. Well done.

Hiking Highlight
Unfortunately, Mariwawald Monastery will be closed during the year 2018. The ten monks who live here are now very old and can not operate the monastery without support. In addition, the monastery does not generate enough money to finance the monastery. At the moment there is still discussion about a continued use of the buildings. It is hoped that it will continue to be a spiritual place that honors the centuries-old tradition.
