SGR Haspengouw

We left at Veemarkt Sint-Truiden and we cross it to the city park. We cross the park, where we arrive at Prinsalbertstraat. In this way we walk further across the station square, from there we walk up the bridge and take the stairs towards Halmaal.

Parked in Rukkelingen, just walk to the departure point. This is through the Hornebos. What a beautiful forest, even in this season. Departed from the church in Miele-boven-Aalst (parking at the church) first on some paved roads, along the street. Continue on the path to the right up unpaved. Another piece of the SGR Haspengouw. We left at the parking lot of Alden Biesen. There we also follow a part of the orange route, which runs parallel to the GR. Another piece of SGR Haspengouw done. Walked through a lot of nature. These include the Nietelbroeke and the mombeek valley. Through the villages Wimmertingen from nature onto the road, was ff a bit. But then back into the beautiful nature. That always makes up for it.

Finished our SGR Haspengouw. The sun was shining beautifully, so the last part was finished in one go. Was quite spicy, with some heights. But a very nice walk. @Jeff & Christel was not a very nice one. Yes, it was a bit steep now and then, but it wasn't too bad. (Training for another challenge 😊😉) Distance was doable. As you can see on my profile I've done one GR, but in different pieces.

Finished this route in 7 different stages. Work/family combination.

Was a nice route, the stages were manageable. Different surfaces and beautiful surroundings. To be done in different seasons.
