Secluded villages stuck in time, landscapes where the soul can rest, winter hikes far from ski lifts and cosy winter huts – in the pristine valley of the Lech, Europe's last wild river, that's exactly what awaits you. On 11 wonderful routes, which we present to you here, you can immerse yourself in the silence of this impressive alpine nature park region. In the north of Tyrol, the cultural but also scenic gems offer enjoyment and the space to breathe.
Our winter hiking trails offer fun for every pace and every age. In this Collection, you’ll find both enjoyable hikes for the whole family as well as challenging Tours with some climbing. You can warm up and fortify yourself in excellent huts, which invite you to enjoy the culinary delicacies of the region.
Extensive panoramic trails lead you to secluded places, such as the Bircheltsgump settlement in the rustic Bockbach Valley or the snow-covered huts at Bernhardseck, 1,800 metres (5,900 ft) above sea level. You stroll along broad forest paths, accompanied only by the crunching of snow under your hiking boots. You can marvel at bizarre icicles along frozen streams and waterfalls. A great deal of tranquillity and tradition awaits you in the wonderful side valley communities of Hinterhornbach, Gramais, Bschlabs and Boden, the so-called ‘time-out villages’.
The winter hiking bus, which you can use free of charge with a valid guest card, takes you to the starting points of the Tours. In the tourist offices of the Lechtal Nature Park Region you can also get the current timetables and further information about the bus system.
