Hiking for several days at a time is a great way to escape everyday cares. Travel for just a few days and the feeling of disconnection will make you feel as if you’ve been away for much longer. It’s one of the best ways to refresh.
This Collection contains a quartet of four- to six-day hikes in Belgium and the Netherlands, with a bonus trip to Luxembourg and another to France. These four routes explore natural and historical borders and, in their own way, each one will give you a bit of a lift. You discover so many wonderful sights that are so close and yet so diverse. You'll also find that all these walks have one thing in common. They are #UnitedBySummits!
The playground you discover is hugely varied, from the dikes of the Belgian coast to the ridge paths in Luxembourg and the forts in the Amsterdam area. The adidas TERREX Free Hiker 2 shoes are ideal for these adventures. They give you confidence and comfort on all types of terrain. Their Continental rubber outsole will ensure your grip on wet ground. The BOOST technology in the midsoles provides energy feedback to relieve your muscles and joints. The high upper is also a plus to give your ankles confidence. As well as all this, the shoe is made of at least 50% natural and recycled materials, as we consider it our duty to preserve resources and avoid plastic waste.
Each route is designed to be completed over several days; you can divide each Tour into as many stages as you like. There’s information about accommodation in the Tour descriptions.
In theory you can do these hikes all year round, but in practice we advise you to do them between spring and autumn. The weather is usually better and the natural beauty is at its most vibrant. Remember that a waterproof jacket is a must, even in summer!
The Netherlands is as flat as a well-laid laminate floor, yet there are a remarkable number of place names containing the word 'berg' ('mountain' in Dutch): Steenbergen, Zevenbergen, Bergen op Zoom, Bergen en North Holland and Bergen in Limburg. Oh, and there's still Muiderberg, Geertruidenberg and Hillegersberg…
The “Escapardenne Eislek Trail” connects Troisvierges in Luxembourg to La Roche-en-Ardenne in the Belgian Ardennes, on a marked trail of around 110 kilometres.
You will walk in immersion through vast coniferous forests and discover the natural and cultural heritage of the Ardennes along the way. Dive…

Direction ch’nord, with this 130 kilometer route which partly takes the Sentier du Littoral and partly the GR5A. In its entirety, it describes a large loop through Flanders. We will only do part of it, up to the sublime Venice of the North: Bruges.
Leaving from Bergues station, it's off on a long, very…
The Netherlands has a long history of fighting water. For centuries they built dykes, dams and mills that shaped the landscape and kept water out. Living in the Netherlands means constantly fighting against the waters. But water has also been their ally, especially with the Nieuwe Hollandse Waterlinie…
