Speed-hiking is a mixture of hiking and trail running that allows you to bag summits quickly or spend a whole day in the mountains, covering a vast amount of ground. The idea is to push yourself while hiking fast on often technical terrain. You’d be wrong to assume that this approach is only for professional athletes. However, you do need a decent level of fitness and at least some experience on the mountain trails. However, if you have both of these, you can definitely give speed hiking a go. Of course, there are no rules to how fast you go, it’s totally up to you to find your flow. If you feel yourself breaking into a run on a downhill, let yourself go with it; if the terrain slows you down and you put the brakes on, that’s fine. Speed-hiking is all about movement in harmony with the ground beneath your feet and the landscape.

In this Collection, we present routes to summits in all corners of France. There’s something for everyone, with loops and traverses of varying lengths and technicality. For each of our ten summits, we propose two routes: a shorter, easier Tour and a more demanding one for ambitious mountain goats. Famous mountain peaks like the Croix de Chamrousse or La Rhune are among the destinations, but also green, dormant volcanoes like the Puy de Sancy and more inconspicuous peaks like the Monts d'Arrée or Mont Saint-Michel. Whatever you choose, the idea behind each of these peaks is to unite outdoor athletes of all levels. At the top, we are all #UnitedBySummits!

Pick a Tour and get ready for an adventure. Depending on how long you'll be out, you'll need a light backpack with water or an energy drink, snacks, a rain jacket, a fully charged mobile phone, an emergency blanket, a headlamp and a pair of gloves. You should wear light, technical clothing that wicks away sweat so that your body stays dry for as long as possible. Of course, this also depends on the time of year, but for most of the Tours in this collection, we recommend that you go for the high season, from early June to late September.

Once you've chosen your peak and a date for the adventure, all you need is the right footwear. We've designed a hiking shoe inspired by trail running shoes. The adidas TERREX Skychaser GORE-TEX 2.0 will accompany you on any trail, whether it's a soft forest floor or a rocky summit climb. The shoe is lightweight and durable, waterproof and breathable. It gives you mobility and security all the way to the top. Our BOOST technology provides incredible energy return with every step. No matter how challenging the terrain, the durable adidas TERREX Skychaser GORE-TEX 2.0 will support and protect you.

Lace up your shoes and let's go!

There are summits which are monuments. Even myths. Mont Ventoux is one of them! But the myth is very real and it can be climbed, even if you don't have the big calves of the Tour de France riders. The secret is to take it step by step. Here, we are not suggesting that you climb from the base. The route

Sometimes all it takes is one summit to enter the legend. With Roc la Tour, you will perhaps not enter that of mountaineering but definitely that of the Ardennes.

In the mountains, there are peaks that make legends. Mont Blanc made Jacques Balmat. In the Ardennes, there are legends that create summits: that of the four Aymon sons or the famous Roc la Tour.
