The area served by the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund is beautiful, with countless sights and diverse landscapes. The rolling Wetterau hills, the Spessart forests, the idyllic Odenwald, and lively cities such as Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Fulda and Giessen are all just a short train ride away, so you can easily reach wonderful landscapes. You can also take your bike on RMV public transport free of charge. However, note that prams and wheelchairs have priority.
Getting to know different landscapes on a bike Tour is always a great experience. Whether you ride a gravel, touring, road or mountain bike, you’ll find a suitable route in our region. In this Collection, we present six Tours that offer something for every cyclist and ability, with a variety of surfaces.
Fly down the flow trail on the Feldberg on your mountain bike, experience a bikepacking adventure from Frankfurt to Fulda, or take your road bike for a quick spin along the banks of the Main. The Lahn Valley is also a wonderful place to cycle. Wherever you want to go, RMV will be happy to take you there.
Conveniently, all Tours start and end at railway stations. If the beer garden is too cosy, the weather changes, or you simply don't feel like riding anymore, you can change your plans on a whim as a station is always closeby. We've included additional information about the stations in the Tour descriptions, so you can be as flexible as possible. Some Tours are loops, but we've also made sure that the routes from A to B are easy to get to and from by bus and train. With the D-Ticket, you can travel anywhere in the region. So leave your car behind, grab your bike, and join us. We'll get you there!
Between the cities of Frankfurt and Fulda there are beautiful natural areas that are worth discovering. On this extended tour you roll along the beautiful Nidda, roam through the fertile Wetterau and cross the densely wooded Vogelsberg. Along the way are picturesque places like Bad Vilbel, Gelnhausen…
The Lahntal is ideal for a relaxed bikepacking tour. This round combines the popular Lahn cycle path with a detour into the surrounding hills, avoiding the steep climbs. Depending on the pace and the division of stages, the tour is very pleasant to ride and there is still enough time for the many beautiful…

If you want to do a relaxed after-work lap on your racing bike in the area around Mainz, Wiesbaden and Frankfurt, there is hardly anything nicer than this tour, on which you are on quiet side streets on both sides of the Main. On smooth asphalt you roll almost effortlessly over the flat streets and paths…
It is not far from Darmstadt to Bickenbach and the direct route along the Hessian Bergstraße is fairly flat. This tour is not about the direct route, but about meters in altitude in beautiful surroundings. It describes a detailed loop through the Odenwald. Altitude meters are waiting for you. In addition…
The Großer Feldberg im Taunus is not one of the most popular destinations for local mountain bikers for nothing. Such large differences in altitude as here are not often found in German low mountain ranges. A dense network of unpaved paths and paths runs through the Taunus, which is particularly fun…
Mountain bikers will find exciting trails of all levels of difficulty around Bad Orb. With its remote valleys and lonely mountains, the Spessart is perfect for off-road laps. There are quite demanding sections here, but this tour is more for connoisseurs. You'll get a taste for the trails to be found…
