Are you drawn to the mountains? Do you want to experience adrenaline rushes in the saddle and the chance to bike over fabulous trails? You don't always have to go to the high mountains to collect altitude and bag summits on your mountain bike. Germany’s Ore Mountains have everything you need for a bike adventure – trail parks, unique views and fantastic descents to keep your adrenaline level high for days. But there are also family-friendly tours that focus on relaxation. There is something for everyone here.
In this Collection, we present exciting suggestions for your biking holiday in the World Heritage Region Erzgebirge. With the Stoneman Miriquidi and the BLOCKLINE, we have two exciting multi-day routes on offer, both of which attract cyclists from near and far, year after year – for good reason. If you’re looking for a challenge, you can try to ride the routes in their entirety, or you can pick out sections as daily stages. Either way, there's never a shortage of fun on the trails in the Ore Mountains.
The Stoneman Miriquidi is a circular route with a total length of 167 kilometres (104 mi). Very ambitious riders tackle it in one go, but most opt for a two or three-day itinerary, which is still a great challenge. The BLOCKLINE is a biking adventure that you can design yourself. The 140-kilometre (97-mi) route allows you to divide it into stages or individual day tours.
You can also book both tours as a complete package. We will be happy to assist you with the planning and, if you wish, take care of booking the overnight stays. If you don't have your own bike, you can even rent one from our partner businesses for your tour. Nothing stands in the way of a successful mountain bike holiday in the Ore Mountains. So what are you waiting for? Come biking in the Ore Mountains and experience the joy of cycling in this very special region.
Anyone who completes the Stoneman Miriquidi in one day can put a golden stone on the shelf. This is also a big challenge for the very athletic. However, most try this tour in two or three days. The well-signposted route leads over nine of the highest peaks in the German and Czech Ore Mountains. On your…
Your three-day tour of the Stoneman Miriquidi route begins in Oberwiesenthal. The K1 Sporthotel is a partner business of the Stoneman Miriquidi. Since this is a circular route, you can of course also join the route at many other stage locations. There are several partner hotels along the route, so you…

The second stage of your tour on the Stoneman Miriquidi begins with a trail descent from the disc mountain. You will soon reach the lower reservoir of the Markersbach pumped storage plant. This is where the first serious climb of this stage begins. Soon you will be surrounded by the dense forest of the…
The circle closes: The third stage of the Stoneman Miriquidi takes you back to the starting point in Oberwiesenthal. But first, a trip to the Czech Republic is on the agenda. The third stage combines several superlatives. So it goes with the Keilberg in the Czech Republic to the highest point of the…
It starts in Holzhau at the start and finish portal of the BLOCKLINE - along the Alte Straße. After you have crossed the Tannenweg, it goes steeply uphill with an incline of up to 18 percent, warm-up so to speak. When you have mastered this challenge, the incline will soon decrease and you will approach…
The second stage is more of a driving pleasure. You can often let your bike roll for a long time and concentrate on the wonderful views. From Altenberg it goes gently uphill at first, so that you can warm up easily. You drive over the Stephanshöhe to the Spitzberg and then in a rapid and winding descent…
The third stage of the BLOCKLINE tour starts in beautiful Frauenstein, if you ride it in five daily stages as suggested here. As in many places along the route, lovingly designed rest areas with carved wooden sculptures (milestones) await you here. You come back to the Gimmlitz, which is dammed shortly…
The fourth stage of the BLOCKLINE 5-day tour first takes you in the direction of alluvial pond meadows through dense mixed coniferous forest. On the way you pass the small Vorwerk, where a cozy inn with a pond and playground invites you to take a break.
The tour continues through the picturesque and legendary…
The creators of the BLOCKLINE seem to like Seiffen very much, because after the generous loop, the fifth stage doesn't really seem to leave the place either. Only after five kilometers and another hill does it go to the Schwartenberg. The last stretch to the summit is very steep - can you drive up here…
