Unfortunately, since we were unlucky with the weather, there was a city tour including the city park instead of a hike.

We now hope for tomorrow 🙏

Today we took the boat to Anchorage and walked back to Marahau from there.

The start and end were in the rain, otherwise there was sun and corresponding views 🤩.

We took almost every turn to see even more.😃

At the end of the day, a short hike along the river.

A quick detour to the Pancake Rocks

At the start of the day we passed the lighthouse and briefly said hello to the seals.

Short walk to the Franz-Josef Glacier.

The photos are a bit muddled as my big camera doesn't have GPS.

Since we were a bit unlucky with the weather and the flight over the glacier was cancelled, we went around the lake with a few weather festivals despite the rain.

Actually, the surrounding mountains are supposed to be reflected here 🤷‍♀️😔🤷‍♀️.

A quick stroll to the Blue Pools at the end of a long day of driving

Since today was another long day of driving, we went for a short walk along the lake.

Since we only have 2 days for the track, we take the water taxi to Brody Beach.

Through an "enchanted" forest, it goes steeply up.

There, after the first 850 m ascent, a rainbow awaits us as a reward, unfortunately then also the rain with the wind and the cold.

After an amazingly restful night in the 24-bed room, it's an easy and relaxed path back through a fantastic forest to beaches, we stopped at one of them for lunch, past the end of the track, weather permitting.

2 very exhausting but also beautiful days come to an end and everyone is looking forward to hot showers.

Today after a boat tour, a short hike with great views.

Since we arrived today by water, jet boat, a small group undertook an "expedition tour" through the forest.

Even if it was an official path, it was hardly recognizable and it went down ropes, over stairs, through mud up to the ankle and over moss-covered tree trunks.

It was actually a leisurely tour today, but shortly after the start there was a suspension bridge.

For me, with a fear of heights, it was the worst of this trip so far.

Today we first went through the now familiar forest with mud holes, stairs and bridges before the path alternated with fantastic stretches of beach and we had time to look for shells.

A short walk to Nugget Point Lighthouse in the rain.

Could have been a great view 🤷‍♀️

Finally, another relaxed tour, despite the 3 suspension bridges, with fantastic views of Mount Cook and the surrounding glaciers.
