We preferred to let the rain on Saturday pass by at home. So we postponed the start of this year's September tour by one day. According to the weather report, there will be no rain for the next 3 days, what comes after that? we let ourselves be surprised. Originally we wanted to cycle the Oder Neisse

I have to say, Bühl isn't all that bad. At the beginning of today's stage, we did a little tour of Bühl.

Well, nothing special happened after that, we deliberately chose the route via Offenburg and it's just dreary up to Ortenberg.

My dear husband, we only drove 61 kilometers today, but it felt like 120.

We started this morning from the Black Forest Hotel in Wolfach. The slope was constant but hardly noticeable until Schramberg. But the old climb, which demanded everything from us, began directly in Schramberg. 17%, the tongues

A night in the forester's house in the middle of the forest we couldn't miss yesterday. Rested and rested, this morning we walked a few meters along the Brigach to Donaueschingen, then of course to the source of the Danube and then on the Danube Cycle Path.

The Danube junction was renatured, unfortunately

After a long, delicious breakfast (after all, we had to sit out the rain) we set out on a beautiful stage today. A constant UP and DOWN didn't let boredom arise. Just a few kilometers next to a road, but often right next to the Danube. Through forest and field, right across and through lush green meadows

Even today we were only able to start our stage with a delay. The rain took its time, and we agreed with him that he was allowed to rain down properly at night and that it was good during the day. But OK if it takes a little longer in the morning, so what!

With the last drops of rain we started our tour

A good night's sleep, a good breakfast and no more rain. This is how the day of cycling can begin!

Speaking of no more rain, that's not entirely true. Today we had to unpack our rain cape for the first time, my wife put it on straight away, I was still waiting. Then the rain came suddenly, my wife was

What a day, we definitely had enough variety today. Directly on the Danube, far away from the Danube, mountain after mountain, rain cape on rain cape out. No, this stage really wasn't boring. Everything the weather service had predicted yesterday didn't seem to be true today. The cloudy sky also weighed

An almost perfect day. Quite a lot right next to or even on the Danube. After a few kilometers through the fog we reached Ingolstadt this morning. We drove along the right bank, past the old city fortifications, to about the middle of the city and then switched to the other side of the Danube. Unfortunately

A short tour through the old town and then out of Regensburg, that's how the penultimate day of our tour on the German Danube began. Today was mostly not very exciting next to or on the dam of the Danube. The low cargo ship traffic is very noticeable, we are used to something different from the Rhine

Well wrapped up in rain gear, we packed our bikes this morning. After it rained steadily all night and the weather service even reported heavy rain for the day, we braced ourselves for the worst.

    Never mind, let's go!

The sky was overcast, the clouds above us were gloomy, it rained at most a few drops
