From Germany’s picturesque Weserbergland region, the Weser Cycle Route leads you along 520 kilometres (323 mi) to the North Sea. You ride through varied landscapes, regions and towns. In addition to the hilly Weserbergland, you'll also get to know the Mittelweser region with its many gems, immerse yourself in the ADFC-RadReiseRegion Wesermarsch, pay a visit to the culturally-rich region of Teufelsmoor and Cuxland and let yourself be enchanted by the Hanseatic city of Bremen and the seaside city of Bremerhaven.

In this Collection, we show you how to cycle the Weser Cycle Route in eight stages. Each is between 54 and 78 kilometres (34–48 mi) long and are mostly flat making them suitable for everyone. The starting point is Hann. Münden, where the Fulda and Werra rivers meet and join to form the Weser. You can reach the town easily by various regional trains and the end point of Cuxhaven is also well connected to regional rail services. From here, you can travel to places like Bremerhaven or Hamburg.

The Weser Cycle Route is one of the most popular long-distance cycle routes in Germany and has been awarded four stars by the ADFC cycling association. This means that in addition to well-developed cycle paths, good infrastructure awaits, with numerous accommodation options and refreshment stops. You can look forward to an unforgettable adventure in the far north!

From Hamelin you cycle on a flat route along the Weser. The cycle path does not always lead you directly along the bank today. In Minden you start by crossing the Mittelland Canal and then sticking to the Weser again.
