The first stage of our multi-day hike through the Altmühltal led us from Gunzenhausen to Spielberg. On field and meadow paths it went through gently hilly terrain. The Spiegelberg Castle with its modern sculptures by the sculptor Ernst Steinacker is well worth seeing.
