I am based in Gryon (Alpes Vaudoises) and have been riding the in the canton of Vaud for over 35 years. Here is a collection of my favorite routes in this region of Western Switzerland, which I am so grateful to call home. On quiet roads, they will take you through the grandiose landscapes of our lakes, mountains, vineyards and countryside. No matter if you are an avid roadie, a cycle tourist or an occasional cyclist, there are loops for you and you will be blown away by what the region has to offer. Am I partial? Well, come and see it by yourself!Follow me on

  • Combe des Amburnex

    Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)

A paradise route for cyclists, with typical Jura landscapes. In the pastures, we see in particular the dry stone walls characteristic of the region.Attention: in spring the snow melts very late because it is a cross-country ski trail in winter.

  • Alternative au Col du Marchairuz

    Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)

The road that leads to the Combe des Amburnex is an excellent alternative to the Marchairuz pass, where traffic can be heavy in the evenings and on weekends. On the contrary, this road that winds through the forest is almost deserted.

  • Le pied du Jura

    Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)

On this relatively flat sector between L'Isle and Bière you ride at the foot of the Jura with a magnificent view of the Alps. Not to be missed if you are in the area!

  • Route cyclable entre Yverdon et Orbe

This section, which is part of the SwitzerlandMobility network, takes you on agricultural roads where traffic is minimal. An alternative to prefer to the cantonal road, where traffic can be intense.

  • Chasseron

    Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)

The view from the Chasseron is breathtaking. You can see Lake Neuchâtel, the Swiss Plateau and the Alps if the sky is clear.
This view has to be earned: the second part of the ascent is very steep with passages at almost 20%. There are also several unpaved areas. It's ok with a road bike, but to have fun I recommend 28mm tires and a small development (34x32 or smaller)

  • Col de l'Aiguillon

    Road Cycling Highlight (Segment)

Well known to local cyclists, the Col de l'Aiguillon is steep but traffic is almost non-existent. A great way to reach Sainte-Croix without going through the main road where cars and motorbikes are ubiquitous at all times.

  • Café Tête de Course

    Road Cycling Highlight

Tête de Course combines a café and a workshop in the center of Nyon. It's the ideal place to have your bike repaired, have your morning coffee or have something to eat after an outing in the beautiful region of La Côte!
