Are you ready to get out and look over the edge of Stuttgart's low hills? Or (re)discover the green oases of the busy state capital? In the diverse city landscape and on the charming trails in the surrounding area, there are endless opportunities to spend the day on a long hike or a relaxing walk.

For inspiration, we’ve compiled 10 beautiful walks in this Collection. They range in length from 10 to 20 kilometres (6–12 mi) and take you through the green spaces of the city or to the vineyards on the edge of the basin. If you feel like going further afield, we recommend a hike to Hohenneuffen Castle, the Rötelbach Valley or the Schurwald Forest. Let yourself be surprised.

All starting points are easily accessible by public transport so you can leave your car at home and let the bus or train take you to the start points.

What are you waiting for? Pick a Tour, lace up your shoes and off you go.

Shortly before it flows into the Neckar, the Rems meanders through a charming shell limestone area with deeply incised and rugged flanks. On the steep crash slopes you hike through shady forest, while the flat sliding slopes are used for agriculture. You can often still see the remains of terrace walls
