Noord-Holland, the region around Amsterdam, is very flat. The cycle path concept is exemplary. There seem to be more cycle paths than roads and footpaths and they are often in a better condition. However, not all cycle paths are perfect for skating. The quality varies from wide and very good asphalt to rough or worn asphalt and cobblestones. However, most sections are very skateable. The flat landscape offers meadows, canals, windmills, dunes, dikes, forests and other sights. The area is ideal for inline skating, even for beginners. In addition to two routes that I skated myself, the collection contains skating highlights from the local community. Gerard Op 't Ende ❤️🤍💙 has put together another very good collection of inline skating tours in and around Amsterdam: komoot.de/collection/1077785/-rondom-haarlem-amsterdam-noord-holland-inline-skate-skeeleren

Molen De Bloem, also called De Blom, is an octagonal top porter with scaffolding, originally built in 1768 and equipped as a flour mill. Until 1878 this mill stood on the redoubt at the Raampoort, on the stronghold of Rijkereoord, north of the passage through the city wall. The Rijkerbolwerk was originally called De Bloem (Bloempunt). Like most flour mills at the time, it was a post mill, which was replaced in 1768 by the current octagonal mill.
We often ride on rollerblades along this beautiful mill!
