Trails, beer and french fries – what more could you want? We headed to the Ardennes in Belgium and experienced fantastic trails close to the Rhine and Ruhr.
This region in the east of Belgium, not far from the German border, has much more to offer than french fries and beer – although you should include both in your adventure. The Tours are between 18 and 55 kilometres (11 - 34 miles) long and take you on some of the most beautiful single trails Belgium has to offer. Whether you’re traversing the steep rocky slopes above the Amel, admiring the famous Formula 1 circuit of Spa-Francorchamps or walking in the Parc Naturel des Sources nature park, you can expect great views, some sweat-inducing climbs and plenty of flowing descents over the hills.
Very easy round to roll in or out. Thanks to the close proximity to the F1 circuit, it's a festival for "petrolheads". Check the events calendar in advance! When races are taking place, parts of the lap are not rideable.

Long loop through the Ardennes to the artificial lakes of the Coo-Trois-Ponts pumped storage power plant – the most important of its kind in Belgium. Technically not challenging, but lots of nature and beautiful views.
