The small town of Mondsee on the lake of the same name is a lively seaside resort and a popular attraction for water sports enthusiasts. In summer you can jump here at various swimming spots in the turquoise waters. In addition, it is perfect for sailing, rowing or water skiing on the large lake. If you hike on the BergeSeenTrail, you can enjoy the evening atmosphere on the lake promenade after a long day of hiking.

The lake is one of the warmest in Europe. In summer, the water temperature here is relaxed 28 degrees Celsius. Thanks to the 12 beach baths, you have plenty of opportunities to hop in the beautiful lake.

The bright turquoise high mountain lake at 1657 meters altitude is one of the most beautiful hiking destinations in Tyrol. Here you can refresh yourself in the cool water. Hobby captains are happy about the 200 boat berths, the boat rental and the offers of the shipping company Gangl (bicycle ferry to Mörbisch). Here at the beginning of the Oberen Lobau is one of the most beautiful natural bathing spots in the city. The Dechantlacke is a cozy place and particularly popular with people who like to jump into the water without swimwear. If you want, you can of course leave your swimming trunks or bikini on. There is no nudity obligation.
Anyone who comes here will be rewarded with a lot of peace and quiet and hidden places to relax. The well-known painter and architect Friedensreich Hundertwasser already appreciated the location and atmosphere of the lake.
