Have you always wanted to hike through a real primeval forest? You don't have to fly halfway around the world to do it – Baden–Württemberg in Germany has primeval forests with mighty, giant trees to discover. Pristine nature, rare animals and unique vantage points await you – Baden–Württemberg is surprisingly wild.

The landscapes in the seven nature parks and two biosphere areas are particularly picturesque. In the Black Forest National Park, the nature becomes even wilder as it’s now allowed to develop largely without human intervention. In this Collection, you find 10 Tours through these spectacular areas – from a family–friendly hike to challenging circular adventure.

As you walk, you’ll learn interesting information about the local flora and fauna on information boards or directly from park rangers. A visit to these areas also offers cultural and culinary highlights: fairytale castles and palaces rise from the dense treetops. You can also delve deeper into the region’s history and nature in various museums.

Hike along the Neckar River, through protected forests and high above the Danube Valley or follow the tracks of lynx. All this is possible in the primeval forests of Baden–Württemberg.
