At the reservoir Hohenfelden you can enjoy the nature while cycling and cool off on hot days in the fresh water of the lake. On the northern shore is a natural swimming pool with a beautiful beach and a large lawn, which is open all year round. Access is outside the season via the turnstile at the entrance.

Embedded in the beautiful nature of the Thuringian Forest is the Lütschetalsperre. Around the reservoir, you can ride a bike and enjoy the breathtaking views of the lake and the wooded shores. On hot days in summer, you may also like to jump into the water to refresh yourself. There is also a swimming area at the campsite, which you can use for free.

When you have arrived here, you should definitely take a break, because the mountain lake is an absolute dream. The turquoise blue lake is surrounded by steep rock faces and a small clearing in the middle of the forest. The large stones on the shore and the originally wild surroundings make the place something very special.
If the sight of the unique backdrop gives you an adventure feeling, just take the opportunity and add one more to it by jumping into the cold water of the mountain lake and swimming a lap - a unique experience in which you get even closer to nature.

Here you can relax on a large lawn and hop every now and then in the cool water. To make it more fun, there is a jetty that leads into the water and a bathing island.Changing rooms, sanitary facilities, a kiosk and everything else that a beach offers otherwise, of course, are available.The lido is open daily from 10 to 19 o'clock. Admission costs 3.50 euros for adults and 1.50 euros for children. Children up to 6 years are free to the beach.
