How do cycle rides through the picturesque Hunsrück heights, past old walls and discovering the traces of times long past sound? In Germany’s Hunsrück-Nahe bike region, you ride through a variety of natural and cultural landscapes, through forests and meadows, through river valleys and past farmland and vineyards. Numerous grand castles, monasteries, ancient ruins, idyllic small towns and hidden hamlets lie on your way. Breathe in the clear air, enjoy the views and discover the mystical moments when the morning mist still lies in the valleys.
Our four cycling Tours, which let you discover the beautiful Hunsrück region, are between 34 and 45 kilometres (21–28 mi) long. You can cycle to the castle ruins of Sponheim on the Kleinbahn-Radrundweg and discover Kastellaun Castle on the Schinderhannes-Radweg. The HimmelReich RadLust loop takes you to Birkenfeld Castle and the Hunsrück Cycle Path to Baldenau Castle Ruin. Our routes immerse you in another time – try it yourself.
Information on how to get there, where to eat and where to stop for refreshments can be found in the Tour descriptions. So, what are you waiting for? Hop on the saddle and off you go.
