Many mountain bikers are already familiar with the Salzburger Sportwelt in Austria thanks to the Stoneman Taurista. But there’s much more to experience alongside this legendary route; you don’t have to be an athlete to enjoy the region. Grab your mountain, e-mountain or gravel bike and explore the Salzburger Sportwelt for yourself.

The Tours we’ve put together here take you to secluded valleys, beautiful alpine pastures and gorgeous mountain lakes from the town of Radstadt to Filzmoos at the foot of the Dachstein at 1,075 metres (3,526 ft).

Although the ski slopes here are packed in winter, they’re much more tranquil in summer. You’ll find plenty of ways to escape any hustle and bustle in Salzburg’s Sportwelt. Challenging MTB Tours and relaxing e-bike loops take you through the magnificent mountain scenery to hospital mountain huts.

The Salzburger Sportwelt has an extensive network of trails including around 500 kilometres (310 mi) of designated bike routes. Most of them are suitable for e-bikes too. You can rent a bike from one of the numerous bike shops and won’t run out of battery thanks to the many e-bike charging stations.
