The Württemberg Wine Cycle Route is an experience for all your senses: you discover picturesque landscapes between the Neckar and Tauber rivers at your own pace along this 400–kilometre (248 mi) route. Ride through sun–drenched vineyards where some of Württemberg's best vines thrive: Lemberger, Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc are just a few of the wines produced in this region.

You explore dreamy half–timbered towns and visit modern vinotheques as well as traditional wine taverns. Castles, farm shops and plenty of cosy places to stop for a bite to eat lie en route too. You should definitely leave plenty of time to enjoy the region’s culinary delights on this adventure.

In this Collection, we’ve divided the entire route into seven daily stages with distances between 45 and 65 kilometres (28 and 40 mi). Of course, you can plan your own stages yourself too. Württemberg has plenty of hospital accommodation, although you can also just do part of the route as a day trip. You pass many train stations so it’s easy to adapt the route to your needs. Any type of bike is suitable as the route mainly runs along asphalt paths.

Your third stage on the Württemberg Wine Cycle Path starts and ends on the Neckar again, but it is strongly influenced by a trip to the surrounding vineyards. This is of course associated with a few meters of altitude. But you will be rewarded with fantastic views and one or the other rapid descent

Today's stage is relatively flat, but that doesn't mean that you won't see some magnificent vineyards again. At the foot of the steep slopes you roll northwards on the banks of the Neckar in a relaxed manner. The Murr flows into the Neckar near Marbach. Shortly before the mouth you change to the other
