The Rhine Cycle Route, also known as EuroVelo 15, runs from Switzerland to the North Sea. The entire route totals 1,200 kilometres (745 mi), but in this Collection, we present 500 kilometres (310 mi) through Baden–Württemberg. This adventure takes you from the town of Constance on Lake Constance to Mannheim, with a detour to Switzerland, in seven stages.

You can easily get to the starting point in Constance with German and Swiss local and long-distance trains. Another option is to take the ferry from, for example, Friedrichshafen. From Constance, you start your Tour by cycling along Lake Constance and the southern edge of the Black Forest. Close to Basel, you follow the Rhine through its wide plain, which forms the border to France. West of the Black Forest, you continue north until you reach Mannheim. Here, you briefly ride through the city before finishing on the banks of the Neckar. Mannheim has good connections to the local and long–distance train services to return home.

Good infrastructure awaits you along the Rhine Cycle Path, with plenty of train stations along the way. This means you can easily just ride sections of the route or jump on a train if the weather turns. At the end of the stage, numerous accommodation options, such as guest houses, hotels and holiday flats, ensure you’ll have a comfortable night of rest. Restaurants, beer gardens and cafés along the route also mean you won’t go hungry.
