In Austria’s Montafon Valley, you’re immersed in a geologically phenomenal area. Millions of years ago, the largest geological diversity in the Alps was formed here in a small area. The Alpine Mosaic Montafon adventure leads you along themed trails, on valley and mountain circuits, and on local routes through the many facets of the region with its four adventure areas: the lively valley, the quiet Verwall, the adventurous Silvretta and the rich Rätikon mountain ranges.

The Montafon Alpine Mosaic is bracketed by the Montafon Hut Circuit. Across 13 stages, you hike from hut to hut through all four areas. You can find more information about this wonderful long-distance hiking trail in this Collection: komoot.com/collection/1576938.

We have created a Collection for each adventure area and in this one, you’ll find the Tours for the Rätikon adventure area, which stretches across the borders of Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. With its rugged rock formations and characteristic limestone walls, this mountain world is similar to the Dolomites. Mighty peaks like the Drei Türme, Sulzfluh or Schesaplana challenge your endurance and at the same time inspire with magical views.

This Rätikon experience area awakens pure joie de vivre and scores high not only with its landscape, but also with its hospitality and culinary delights. In this Collection, we’ve put together nine hikes for you – eight day Tours and one multi-day Tour. Some require sure-footedness and a head for heights while others are ideal for families. Variety is never in short supply in the Rätikon: you can expect magnificent panoramic views, turquoise lakes, rushing rivers, fun themed trails and, of course, alpine food from gröstl to strudel.

If you’re planning an overnight stay in one of the huts, it’s best to reserve your place in advance. The cable cars in the region make ascents easier and enable even the youngest hikers to experience the incredible mountain world. There’s something for everyone in the Rätikon!
